Hello, I built this website to document the work progress on my 1952 Pontiac
Chieftain 4 door sedan. Also to provide information for others restoring these
almost forgotten classic cars. You can follow the project on the My
Project page. You will also find useful links and information on the 1952
and similar years (49-52) soon on the resources
page. There is also a lot of information on here that pertains to Pontiac, Chevrolet,
Oldsmobile and Buick from the 1920's through 1956. I update the website a lot,
I just don't post about the update's every time. I'm always adding information
and pictures of viewer's Pontiac's. Just keep checking back for new information.
Thanks!
Dave
Update 12-09-08 Ok hopefully this will be good
news to some people out there... I am currently putting up the entire 1956 Pontiac
Master Parts Catalog which shows illustrations and Pontiac Parts with Part Numbers
for Pontiac's from 1937 through 1956. This covers all Pontiac Cars from the
1937-1956. This is the January 1st 1956 Issue of the Master Parts Catalog. I
hope to have this available as image links within the next few days, but I do
plan to index everything to be searchable. ALSO! I'm putting up the 1952 issue
of the Pontiac Interchange Manual. This covers many parts that will interchange
from the 1930's through 1952 Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Buick and Chevrolet cars.
The Interchange manual will be available as image links tomorrow night and I do plan to index as well eventually as well.
I haven't been focusing on updating the progress on my car on the project page, I've been working more
on trying to get information on my website. Check the forums though as I do post updates there from time
to time since it is easier to update there than on the main website.
Update 10-05-08 Just wanted to post a quick update letting
you all know that I have opened a new forum up for this website. There's not
much going on there now, but hopefully it'll pick up like the old one did.
Update 8-17-2008;
Here is the latest of my car for those who have been following the project.
I raised the back up a little with adjustable shackles, painted some flames
on my car now... I tried to keep it 50's style, something that could have been
seen back then. I put all new plugs, wires, points on it, four new tires and
repainted the wheels... I've been working on it as much as I have time to. Here
is the latest picture.
Update 3-10-2008; I spent a lot of time creating tables of useful information
which can be found on the resources page. A lot of the information is listed
for 49-54 Pontiacs, but if someone needs additional/same info for 55-61 Pontiacs
I should have that information as well. Just send me an email and I will get
back with you as soon as possible.
